International arrivals to Vietnam jumped by 420.6 percent year-on-year to 101.4 thousand in April of 2022, compared with a 115 percent growth in the prior month. April's strong figure remained supported by a new tourism campaign launched by the government at the end of last year following accelerated vaccinations and easing COVID-19 curbs. Visitors from Asia climbed 240.7 percent, namely South Korea (272.4 percent), Japan (319.1 percent), Taiwan (172.2 percent), and Malaysia (2,011.8 percent). Also, visitors from America soared 3,453.1 percent, mainly the US (4,786.5 percent); while those from Europe jumped 1,512.8 percent), of which, Russia (544.9 percent), the UK (3,116.5 percent), France (2,662.5 percent), and Germany (3,093 percent); and visitors from Australia climbed 5,242.1 percent.
