Producer inflation in Romanian eased to 46.68 percent year-on-year in September of 2022, following a record 52.99 percent surge in August. Prices rose at a slower pace for electricity, gas, steam & air-conditioning supply (163.21 percent vs 201 percent in August), mining & quarrying (79.28 percent vs 92.58 percent) and manufacturing (20.53 percent vs 22.36 percent). On the other hand, costs went up for water supply, sewerage, waste management & remediation activities(20.31 percent vs 19.37 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices fell by 0.8 percent, after increasing by 1.85 percent in the previous month.
