In Norway, the Producer Price Index measures the price development of first hand sales of products to the Norwegian market, from Norwegian production and export. Manufacturing prices account for 54 percent of the total index. The biggest segments within Manufacturing prices are: Food, beverages and tobacco (12 percent), refined petroleum products (8 percent) machinery and equipment (6 percent) and basic metals (5 percent).
