Producer input prices in New Zealand rose 0.5 percent quarter-on-quarter in the three months to December of 2022, easing from a 0.80 percent increase in the prior quarter, remaining positive for the tenth straight quarter. It was the lowest quarterly gain since the 2020 June quarter, as prices rose at a slower pace for building construction and construction services (1.5% vs 2.6% in Q3), Agriculture, forestry, and fishing (1.2% vs 2.7% in Q3), wholesale trade (0.9% vs 1.6%), retail trade and accommodation (1% vs 1.8%).
