Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc. is a landholding and operating company. The Company’s segments include Real Estate, Leasing and Resort Amenities. Its Real Estate segment includes the development and sale of real estate inventory and the operations of Kapalua Realty Company, which is a general brokerage real estate company located within the Kapalua Resort. Its Leasing segment includes real property leasing activities, license fees and royalties for the use of certain of the Company’s trademarks and brand names by third parties, and the cost of maintaining the Company’s real estate assets, including conservation activities. Its Resort Amenities segment includes a membership program that provides benefits and privileges within the Kapalua Resort for its members. The Company owns approximately 23,000 acres of land on the island of Maui, Hawaii, which develops, sells and manages residential, resort, commercial, agricultural and industrial real estate.
