The Tengri Partners Kazakhstan Services PMI increased to 51.4 in August of 2021 from 49.6 in the previous month, signalling a renewed expansion in Kazakh services output during August, amid loosening quarantine restrictions. New orders returned to growth, following a slight fall in the previous month. As a result, companies increased their staffing levels for the first time since April. On the price front, input prices increased, due to higher labour, material and procurement costs. Meanwhile, output charges inflation eased to the weakest pace since last December and was only mild overall.
