The jobless rate in Jordan went up to 23.1 percent in the third quarter of 2022 from 22.6 percent in the previous three-month period. The number of unemployed was up by 2.7 thousand people to 237.8 thousand, while the number of employed decreased by 14.2 thousand to 783.7 thousand. Among the unemployed, people with a higher education degree continued to be the most affected, with 45.1%.
