The industrial confidence indicator in Colombia rose to a 3-month high of 14.5 in May of 2022 from 10.3 in the previous month. Current volume of orders rebounded (6.6 vs -3 in April) and production expectations for the next quarter increased (35.9 vs 28.6), despite a rise in the inventory level of finished goods (-0.8 vs -5.2).
Colombia Business Sentiment Falls in April
The industrial confidence indicator in Colombia fell to 10.3 in April of 2022 from a downwardly revised 13.3 in the previous month, the lowest since June of 2021. Manufacturers’ sentiment deteriorated for current volume of orders (-3 vs 7.3 in March) and stocks of finished goods at the end of the month (-5.2 vs -3.2), while optimism declined regarding output expectations for the next quarter (10.3 vs 13.6).
