Bathurst Resources Limited is a New Zealand-based mining company. The Company is principally engaged in the exploration, development and production of coal. Its segments include Export and Domestic. The Company has operations in Canterbury Coal, Cascade, Escarpment, Maramarua, Rotowaro, Stockton and Takitimu. Its Canterbury Coal mine is located in Coalgate, approximately 70 kilometers (km) west of Christchurch. The Cascade mine is located on Denniston Plateau, approximately 25 km east of Westport. The Escarpment mine is part of the Buller Project, which covers approximately 10,000 hectares of exploration and mining permits on the Buller coal field on the Denniston Plateau. Maramarua is an opencast mine located in the Waikato region of New Zealand producing low-ash, low sulfur thermal coal for the domestic market. Rotowaro mine is located approximately 10 km west of Huntly, which produces sub-bituminous coal. Stockton mine is located approximately 35 km north of Westport.
