Private new capital expenditure on equipment, plant and machinery in Australia expanded by 0.6 percent quarter-on-quarter in the three months to December 2022, after a downwardly revised 1.2 percent fall in the previous period. This was the slower rate compared with a 3.6 percent rise in buildings and structures investments. On an industry basis, capital expenditure on equipment, plant and machinery rose for mining and non-mining by 0.7% and 2.8%, respectively.
