Visitors increased from Asia (16.2 percent), mainly from China (13.4 percent), South Korea (18.8 percent), Japan (33.6 percent), Taiwan (29.9 percent), and Malaysia (9.6 percent); Europe (7.3 percent), namely Russia (18.4 percent), the UK (10.1 percent), and Germany (0.2 percent); America (3.9 percent), mostly from the US (2.2 percent); and Australia (5.5 percent). Considering the first five months of the year, tourist arrivals rose by 8.8 percent over a year ago to 7.30 million.
