The jobless rate in Ukraine decreased to 7.8 percent in the second quarter of 2019 from 8.3 percent in the same period a year earlier and compared with 9.2 percent in the previous three-month period. It was the lowest unemployment rate since the last quarter of 2013, as unemployed persons fell by 235 thousand from the prior period to 1.41 million and employment rose by 448 thousand to 16.71 million.
