The number of departing visitors increased 15 percent to 12.61 million, while the number of Turkish citizens visited abroad jumped 30.2 percent to 2.95 million. Tourism expenditure, which is the expenditure of the Turkish citizens resident in Turkey and visited abroad, increased 1.8 percent to USD 1.23 billion.
