The number of unemployed persons went up by 2 thousand to 443 thousand and employment rose by 7 thousand to 11.474 million. Those detached from the labour force fell by 1 thousand to 8.252 million and the labour force participation rate was 59.08 percent, compared to 59.06 percent in December.
