Producer prices in Romania increased by 3.06 percent from a year earlier in September 2019, easing from a marginally revised 3.23 percent rise in the prior month. This was the lowest producer inflation since July 2017, as prices grew softer for: energy (3.60 percent vs 4.89 percent in August); intermediate goods (1.61 percent vs 1.85 percent); and non-durable consumer goods (4.27 percent vs 4.38 percent). Meanwhile, prices increased faster for both capital (3.27 percent vs 2.41 percent) and durable consumer goods (3.35 percent vs 3.32 percent). On a monthly basis, producer prices edged up 0.11 percent.
