Expectations improved regarding employment (102.6 from 99.6 in April); demand (98.0 from 96.5) and prices (91.6 from 87.9). Among sectors, sentiment rose in construction (109.7 from 105.7), manufacturing (98.6 from 93.3), transport services (101.5 from 97.6) and accommodation & catering services (95.4 from 93.9). In contrast, confidence weakened in retail & wholesale trade (95.1 from 97.0). Business Confidence in Mozambique averaged 100 Index Points from 2004 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 109.18 Index Points in December of 2010 and a record low of 86.60 Index Points in January of 2004.
