Same-day visitors grew 8.1 percent, while overnight visitors fell by 4.8 percent. Visitors from China rose 1.5 percent, with those traveling under the Individual Visit Scheme falling 1.9 percent. Also, visitors increased from Hong Kong (11.5 percent), Taiwan (3.6 percent), and the Philippines (33.7 percent), but declined from India (-25.3 percent), Japan (-34.9 percent), South Korea (-28.1 percent), and the US (-15.8 percent). Considering the first ten months 2019, visitor arrivals soared 15.3 percent year-on-year to 33.41 million.
