The Tengri Partners Kazakhstan Services PMI increased to 50.3 in February of 2021 from 45.9 a month earlier, signaling the first increase in Kazakh services output since last September, amid ongoing quarantine measures. Output returned to grow, while new orders rebounded, with the rate of growth the second fastest on record. At the same time, employment continued to decline, with the rate of job shedding was the slowest since April last year, but still moderate overall. On the price front, input prices rose for the seventh month running and at the steepest rate on record, amid reports of greater material cost and transport fees. Meanwhile, output charge inflation eased.
