Also, tourist arrivals in Batam advanced 8.31 percent to 168.2 thousand. In contrast, visitors in Jakarta dropped by 10.79 percent to 184.5 thousand. Tourists came mostly from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. Considering the first eleven months 2019, the number of tourist arrivals rose by 3.55 percent to 14.9 million. For 2019, Indonesia set a target of 20 million foreign tourist arrivals, compared to 15.81 million in 2018.
