Exports from Indonesia unexpectedly increased 1.28 percent from a year earlier to USD 14.47 billion in December 2019, beating market consensus of a 3.03 percent decline and after an upwardly revised 6.09 percent drop in the prior month. Sales of non-oil and gas products increased by 5.78 percent to USD 13.31 billion, while oil and gas exports slumped by 31.93 percent to USD 1.16 billion on the back of mining products (-38.04 percent), including crude oil (-37.24 percent) and natural gas (-38.21 percent). Considering full year 2019, sales fell 6.94 percent from a year earlier.
