Eurozone Services Sentiment Improves to 7-Month High
The services confidence indicator in the Euro Area rose by 3.0 points from a month earlier to 10.7 in January 2023, the highest level since June last year and comfortably above market consensus of 7.9. Sentiment improved markedly due to firms’ more optimistic views on all three components: past business and demand situation; and demand expectations.

Eurozone Services Sentiment Stronger than Forecast
The services confidence indicator in the Euro Area rose to 6.3 in December 2022 from an upwardly revised 3.1 in the previous month, and well above market expectations of 3.5. It was the strongest morale for four months, driven by improvements in managers’ appraisals of the past business situation, past demand and demand expectations.
