It was the lowest jobless rate since the second quarter of 1992, as the number of unemployed decreased by 9.1 thousand to 27.7 thousand while the number of employed rose by 1.7 thousand to 677.3 thousand. The labor force participation rate decreased to 71.9 percent from 72.0 percent in the same period of 2018 and the employment rate went up to 69.0 percent from 68.2 percent.
