The Industrial Entrepreneur Confidence Index in Brazil increased to 64.7 in January 2019 from 63.8 in the previous month. It was the strongest reading in business confidence since June 2010, as the assessment for current conditions improved (54.1 from 53.5 in December), namely regarding the country's economic situation (54.8 from 53.6) and the company's situation (53.7 from 53.6). Also, future expectations rose (69.9 from 68.9), boosted by optimism concerning both the company's situation (69.9 from 69.2) and the country's economic situation (69.8 from 68.4). Among sectors, confidence strengthened in construction (63.7 from 62.3) and manufacturing (64.9 from 64) while deteriorated in mining (65.1 from 67.3). Business Confidence in Brazil averaged 53.90 Index Points from 2004 until 2019, reaching an all time high of 68.50 Index Points in January of 2010 and a record low of 35 Index Points in October of 2015.
Business Confidence in Brazil is expected to be 64.30 Index Points by the end of this quarter, according to Trading Economics global macro models and analysts expectations.
