Bosnia and Herzegovina’s current account deficit rose to BAM 407.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2018 from BAM 396.9 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The primary income account recorded a BAM 20.7 million deficit compared to a BAM 34.1 million surplus a year earlier. On the other hand, the goods and services gap narrowed to BAM 1,366 million from BAM 1,407 million while the secondary income surplus advanced to BAM 979.1 million from BAM 975.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2017. Considering full 2018, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s current account gap narrowed to BAM 1,371 million from BAM 1,476 million in 2017. Current Account in Bosnia and Herzegovina averaged -471.08 BAM Million from 2007 until 2018, reaching an all time high of -160.60 BAM Million in the first quarter of 2010 and a record low of -980.46 BAM Million in the third quarter of 2008.
