Ghana Inflation Rate Slightly Up to 13.2% in November


In November of 2013, Ghana’s inflation rate rose marginally to 13.2 percent, from 13.1 percent in October, driven by higher housing, water, electricity, gas, fuel and transport prices.

Year-on-year, cost of housing, water, electricity and gas rose the most (34.1 percent), followed by prices of miscellaneous goods and services (17.8 percent), clothing and footwear (17.7 percent), furnishings (16.6 percent) and alcoholic beverages and tobacco (12.6 percent). Food prices increased 7.3 percent).

On a monthly basis, prices slowed to 0.8 percent in November after climbing 2.3 percent in October.
