In July, French exports fell by 2.9 percent yoy to €36.5 billion, driven by lower sales of manufactured good and oil products. Sales of agricultural products continued to fall. Increases were registered in airbus and business aircraft exports, pharmaceuticals and military equipment.
Exports to the European Union fell due to lower shipments of aircraft and jewellery while sales to America, Asia and Africa increased.
Imports fell €41.2 billion as energy purchases dropped sharply. Purchases of manufactured goods also increased in part due to strong imports of pharmaceuticals and clothing.
