Germany Inflation Rate Accelerates in November


Consumer prices in Germany are expected to rise 0.4 percent year-on-year in November of 2015, up from a 0.3 percent increase in October. It is the highest gain since May as food inflation accelerated while energy cost fell at a slower pace.

Food prices are expected to increase 2.3 percent, following a 1.6 percent rise in October while services cost is estimated to grow 1.2 percent, the same as in October. Energy prices likely fell at a slower 7.5 percent, compared to an 8.6 percent drop in October. 

On a monthly basis, the inflation rate is expected to quicken to 0.1 percent after being flat in in October.

The harmonised consumer price index is estimated to be up 0.3 percent year-on-year in November 2015 and rise 0.1 percent month-over-month.
