In September, the country exported goods to the value of €105.9 billion, while imported goods to the value of €83.0 billion.
Germany dispatched goods to the value of €62.2 billion (+7.4 percent year-on-year) to the Member States of the European Union, while it received goods to the value of €55.3 billion (+6.6 percent) from those countries. Goods to the value of €38.7 billion (+6.9 percent) were dispatched to the Euro area countries in September 0f 2015, while the value of the goods received from those countries was €37.8 billion (+6.3 percent). Sales to EU countries not belonging to the Euro area increased by 8.4 percent to €23.5 billion while the value of the goods which arrived from those countries was 17.5 billion euros (+7.1 percent).
Exports to countries outside the European Union amounted to €43.7 billion in September 2015 (+0.4 percent), while imports from those countries totaled €27.6 billion (-1.1 percent).
In August 2015, the country posted a €15.3 billion trade surplus.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, exports rose 2.6 percent from August, while imports grew 3.6 percent, bringing the trade surplus down to €19.4 billion in September from €19.6 billion in August.
