Mexico GDP Up 2.4% YoY in Q3


The GDP in Mexico advanced 2.4 year-on-year in the third quarter of 2015, maintaining the 2.4 percent growth rate of the first half of 2015, according to preliminary estimates released by the statistical institute.

Agriculture posted the highest increase (up 4.6 percent), followed by the services sector (2.9 percent) and industry (1.2 percent).

It was the first time INEGI published an earlier reading on GDP. In the three months to June, the economy increased 2.2 percent.

On a quarterly basis, the GDP expanded 0.6 percent in the third quarter of the year.
