On a year-over-year basis, prices of food and non-alcoholic beverages recorded the highest increase (12.55 percent, from 9.74 percent in the previous month). Cost of recreation and culture accelerated to 10.47 percent, from 3.97 percent in August. Cost of restaurants and hotels rose 8.16 percent, from 6.98 percent in August; alcoholic beverages and tobacco went up 8 percent; transport cost increased 6.95 percent and health prices increased 5.3 percent.
Month-on-month, the inflation rate accelerated to 1.8 percent, from 0.3 percent in August. Prices of recreation and culture increased dramatically by 6.6 percent. Food prices rose 2.9 percent and cost of restaurants and hotels went up by 1.2 percent.
