Indonesia Leaves Rates Unchanged

The Bank Indonesia left its benchmark interest rate on hold at 7.50 percent on September 17th 2015 as widely expected.

The lending facility and the deposit facility rate were also left unchanged at 8.0 percent and 5.5 percent respectively.

Policymakers last cut rates in January by 25 bps to boost growth and bring inflation back to target. Since then, the rates have been held steady amid slowing growth, rising inflation and a weak rupiah.
