The first estimate for Euro Area exports of goods was €182.7 billion in June of 2015, an increase of 12 percent compared with June 2014. Imports stood at €156.4 billion, a rise of 7 percent year-on-year. Intra-euro area trade rose to €151.2 billion in June 2015, up by 10 percent.
Considering January to June 2015, exports rose to €1011.7 billion (an increase of 6 percent compared to a year earlier), while imports rose to €896.7 billion (an increase of 3 percent compared with January-June 2014). As a result, the Euro Area recorded a surplus of €115.0 billion, compared with a +€76.4 billion in January-June 2014. Intra-euro area trade rose to €850.7 billion in January-June 2015, up by 3 percent compared with January-June 2014.
