The value of exports in May of 2013 amounted to SEK 94.6 billion, while imports were valued at SEK 88.9 billion. The number of weekdays in May was the same as in May of 2012.
Trade with countries outside the EU resulted in a surplus of SEK 13.1 billion, while the EU trade resulted in a deficit of SEK 7.4 billion.
During the January to May period, the value of exports decreased by 8 percent while imports decreased by 10 percent compared to the corresponding period one year ago. Exports amounted to SEK 462.4 billion, and imports were valued at SEK 426.8 billion, resulting in a surplus net trade balance of SEK 35.6 billion.
