All subindexes increased at a faster pace than in March except for prices of recreation and culture and communication. Food cost accounted for the most of increase and recorded the highest rate (9.5 percent from 9.4 percent in March). Additional upward pressure came from housing and utilities (6.9 percent), clothing and footwear (8.8 percent) and transport (7.8 percent).
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.8 percent compared to 0.9 percent in March.
