Egypt Inflation Rate Slows in April


Egyptian annual inflation rate eased to 8.87 percent in April of 2014 from 9.82 percent in the previous month.

Annual inflation reached its highest rate in nearly four years in November but has been falling back since then.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices slowed slightly to 0.6 percent in April, from 0.68 percent in the previous month.

Core CPI increased 0.25 percent mom in April compared to 0.70 percent in March. The annual rate decreased to 9.11 percent in April from 9.90 percent in the previous month.
