It was the highest reading in consumer morale since the third quarter of 2017, as expectations over the next 12 months improved regarding financial situation (9.0 from 7.3 in Q4); general economic situation (10.4 from 7.6); savings (-40.2 from -42.1) and unemployment (-3.1 from -0.3). On the other hand, expectations over the next year deteriorated regarding major purchases (-45 from -44.3).
